Pastor Hategeka is currently training Pastor Philip Muwanguzi to eventually take over the leadership of this church of approximately 70 people. (left) Pastor Hategeka, Pastor Muwanguzi and Pastor Bamuleke.
Ggaba is a very poor area of Kampala and the needs in this community are great. (right) "Downtown" Ggaba
The neighborhood surrounding Shalom Holy Zion Church is a crowded, impoverished neighborhood. The church is doing whatever it can to reach out into this neighborhood and help the people in this community to have hope for a better future. Currently the church does not have its own school but they would like to be able to start their own school at some point in the future. There are many children in the church as well as in the surrounding neighborhood who need help to be able to attend school. You can sponsor a child in Uganda for as little as $12.50 per month! Please visit our Sponsorship Program page to learn more!
